नेपाल मा प्रजातन्त्र [हाम्रो लागी Democracy is…]

किराँती र लिच्छवीहरुको कुरा नगरौ । मल्लहरुलाई शाशन सत्ता वाट हटाईए पछी नेपालमा प्रजातन्त्रको तगारो मल्लहरुलाई अर्थ्याईयो । मल्ल हरु पछी शाह हरुकै पालामा राणाहरुले नेपालको सासन सत्तामा हालिमुली चलाए त्यसैले २००७ सालमा राणाहरुलाई शाशन सत्ता वाट हटाउदा त्यस पछी को समय नै प्रजातान्त्रीक नेपालको समायवधी हो भने झै गरी राणाहरु नै प्रजातन्त्रका वाधक थिए भनियो । राणा शाशन अगाडीको शाह वंशको पालाको नेपालको निरपेक्ष राजनैतिक अवश्थालाई राणाहरु हटाउदा कसैले ध्यान नदिएकोले हुनु पर्छ राणाहरु हट्नुको अवश्थालाई नेपालको  प्रजातान्त्रिक  शाशन ब्यबश्था भनियो त्यस पछीको ६० वर्ष हाम्रै आखाँ अगाडी छ ।  नेपालमा २०४६ मा पनि प्रजातन्त्रकै लागी आन्दोलन भयो । २०४६  साल पछि त प्रजातान्त्रक लागी भनेर हतियार सम्म उठईयो र २०६२ मा आन्दोलन गरेर प्रजातन्त्र शब्दकै अर्को रुप लोकतन्त्र ल्याईयो त्यसैले भन्नु पर्छ २००७ साल मा राणा शाशकलाई धपाएर प्रजातन्त्र दिवस मनाउन थाले पनि त्यस पछी को समय प्रजातान्त्रकि रहेन छ । प्रजातन्त्र दिवस मनाउन थालेको ६० सम्ममा पनि हामीले प्रजातन्त्र भनेको के हो बुझेका रहेनछौ ।

अमेरिकी सरकारले गरेको 'डेमोक्रेसी फोटो च्यालेन्ज २०१०' मा नेपालबाट सहभागी 'डेमेक्रेसी इज स्टिल लर्निङ' फोटो क्याप्सन फाइनल ३६ मा पर्न सफल भएको छ । संसारभरका हजारौँ प्रतिस्पर्धी फोटोमध्ये नेपालको उक्त फोटो अन्तिम ३६ मा पुग्न सफल भएको हो । विजयी फोटोको छनोटका लागि अहिले ३६ फोटोबीच प्रतिस्पर्धा भइरहेको छ । अगस्ट २६ सम्म आफूलाई मनपरेको फोटोमा भोटिङ गर्न सकिनेछ । http://www.democracyphotochallenge.america.gov/ मा गई भोटिङ गर्ने व्यवस्था मिलाइएको छ । आयोजकले प्रतियोगितामा १८ वर्ष भन्दा माथिका व्यक्तिले भाग लिन पाउने व्यवस्था गरेको थियो । सेप्टेम्बर १५ मा भोटिङको अन्तिम नजिता सार्वजनिक गर्ने कार्यक्रम छ । NEPAL : Democracy is...still learning.

BANGLADESH : Democracy is freedom of expressing anything without any hesitation.

AZERBAIJAN : Democracy is...when we Have Press Freedom !!!

BAHRAIN : Democracy is the justice of freedom.

BELGIUM : Democracy is when women's rights are recognized, when women's rights are respected !

BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA : Democracy is... to have a dream about better future.

BENIN : Democracy is... the right to education, the freedom to learn and the hope of a future. 

BHUTAN : Democracy is... playing your own music, practicing your own religion, marching to your own drummer. Bhutan is the world's newest

democracy.

BRAZIL : Democracy is...to decide together.

CANADA : Democracy is right to stand up in front of the power.

CAPE VERDE : Democracy is... a new hope for Africa.

INDIA : Democracy is...to enlighten your inner heart and feel free to express it.

CHINA : Democracy is my inborn right.

COLOMBIA : Democracy is...when the people play togrther, diferents teams, diferents ways to be, but with the same rules, for all. The real social justice. 

EL SAVADOR : My notion of democracy is that under it the weakest shall have the same opportunities as the strongest.- Gandhi

GERMANY : Democracy is the responsibility of every individual to prevent any kind of injustice and repression.

INDONESIA : Democracy is freedom to choose our own way without disturbing other's.

IRAQ : Democracy is freedom of expression and not be silent at all.

IRAN : Democracy is the state of being free to act and look different from the way others do.

JAPAN : Democracy is...mightier than the sword. we owe to our ancestors and  try to make handed down generation to generation.

ISRAEL : Democracy is letting the different being a part of the group.

KENYA : Democracy is...having the right to be angry.

  

NETHERLANDS ANTILLES : Democracy is...not a one man show.

NIGERIA : Democracy is...representative opinion of the people for sustainable development for the betterment of all and sundry.

PAKISTAN : Democracy is...freedom of expression/speech.

PHILIPPINES : Democracy is... accessible and quality education for all. It is education as a right.

SOUTH AFRICA : Democracy is...in our hands.

SPAIN : Democracy is...keeping the canon silent.

SUDAN : Democracy is... when all voices are equally heard and considered.

TUNISIA : Democracy is...the freedom to choose your own path even if it is against the flow.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA : Democracy is... many and it is one.  It is large and it is small.  It is standing under harsh, beating sun and joining together to make shelter. Taken during a protest in front of the White House during the Iranian election crisis in June 2009.
